Annual Convention for the Awards Banquet and the C.A.L.P.A. Officer’s Elections
We had several new entries this year as California dives into the 21st Century integrating media with technology. The competition is becoming much more rigorous as more and more individuals are getting up to par with the latest in technology and entries are coming in from all over the state covering all the various categories. Entries include Newsletters (both print and digital, Editorials, Press Releases, Websites, Social Media, Photos, Videos, and Graphic Art for promotional pieces. The categories are then broken down by Department/Detachment, Districts, Posts, Units and Squadrons; thus allowing Legionnaires, Auxiliary, Sons and Riders all to participate.
So the question is, “Did You Enter This Year? – If Not, Why Not?” The date has been extended to the 15th of May for those who may be late or were unable to utilize the website for submitting your projects. So hurry, pull it together and get your submission in (read the rules then submit) You know who you are and you know what your talents are, so if you are not a member of C.A.L.P.A., join today. If you are a member of C.A.L.P.A., get you submission in before the cutoff date of May 15th. Unfortunately, N.A.L.P.A. has cut off their submissions for this year, so start preparing for next year.
